A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders after seeing the specialist on Wednesday where he gave me the all clear to ease myself back into playing golf.
After 5 weeks out of action it was the best feeling in the world to finally grip a golf club again. Unfortunately having to start off small with putting and chipping and the odd full swing with an 8 iron I’m hoping in the next few weeks I should be back hitting roughly the same amount of golf balls I used too. I’m pleased that I will now be able to compete in a couple of tournaments before the season ends especially the English Amateur at Silloth on Solway and Seascale, a once in a blue moon opportunity that a major tournament is on your home doorstep and I’m pleased to say that I will now be competing in that.
With a couple of weeks until it comes around I have plenty time to continue my fitness and physio work so I’m 100% fit. I’m due to go for some warm weather training at the beginning of July where it will be nice to finally get some sun on my back whilst I train.
I’m very excited to get back to playing championship golf again. I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me through this tough period of time.
It’s great to be back!
